Specialty Day Camps Available!

Want to climb higher, swim faster or expand your creativity?! YMCA Calgary Day Camps can help!

Option Camps allow your child to experience everything our day camps have to offer in addition to something a little more specific to their interests.

Swim Skills camps feature a lesson each day and are offered at all locations. Climbing camps help your little guy or gal master the climbing wall at Saddletowne or Shawnessy. Creative Arts camps provide an creative outlet for the artiste in your family at Crowfoot.

YMCA Healthy Kids Day – A fun, free family event!

Please join us on Sunday, June 3 when we will be celebrating YMCA Healthy Kids Day. 

This event will be taking place at all YMCA Calgary locations, as well as at Camp Chief Hector in Kananaskis where we will be having a Family Fun Run . 

Come visit us between 10 am-1 pm for fun activities, healthy living tips and free access to all our facilities!

The facility will be open from 7:00am – 6:30pm.

Hi! Looking for something to do? Get crafty! A website called MakingFriends.com has lots of cool and easy craft ideas. Use stuff you probably have sitting around the house anyhow.

Check out this craft, Bottle Camp Magnetic Bracelet with Chinese Characters and make one for yourself or a friend. Super easy and very unique! You can change it often to make things even more interesting.

Fun Run at Camp Chief Hector

5th Annual Family Fun Run
Camp Chief Hector YMCA

Bring the whole family to enjoy the Family Run Run in a beautiful mountain setting followed by a BBQ lunch. A great way to get out to the mountains while doing something active and fun!

Everyone is invited – singles, families, couples, supporters, Camp alumni… Everyone! There is a BBQ only option for those who choose not to run but to cheer on from the sidelines.
