Building Fee In order to keep the facilities and equipment in the best possible condition, YMCA adult and senior members are required to pay a one-time fee of $71.43, plus GST, for maintenance. There is one fee per each adult, to a maximum of two per household. This fee is non-refundable. Members who have left YMCA Calgary for longer than two months will be considered new and are subject to this fee.

Member Guest Drop-in Fees
Members wishing to bring a guest to the YMCA can purchase a single guest pass upon arrival. Guest must accompany the member. Plus locker rooms are not available at the South YMCA.

Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers
To cancel a membership, complete and return in person a Membership Cancellation Form, available online or from Member Services, or provide a written letter along with your membership card. If you pay monthly, you must provide one day's written notice prior to your next payment. Cancellations will not be taken over the phone. There are no refunds when cancelling continuous monthly memberships.
Refunds for annual full-pay membership are pro-rated from the date YMCA Calgary receives the Membership Cancellation form. Refunds may be left on your account for up to one year. Facility usage is not considered when calculating refunds.
When you cancel your membership, you are automatically withdrawn from all registered programs. You must re-register during non-member registraion dates at non-member prices. YMCA Calgary does not hold memberships for any reason. Once you cancel a membership, you lose access to member-only amenities.
If you move to another location in Canada, you can transfer membership to your new local YMCA. To arrange a transfer, contact your new branch. Please note, monthly payment plans are not transferable. If you are on a monthly plan, please cancel your membership at your home branch before moving.

*Must be a full-time post-secondary student in Calgary and provide valid student photo ID and current time-table when joining and renewing. Articling, Graduate and Practicum students do not qualify for the student membership.
**Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult in the locker rooms (both General and Plus) and supervised at all times while in the facility. Youth ages 12 to 17 must have an orientation prior to using the fitness centre. At the Eau Claire YMCA, youth 12 to 17 cannot use the fitness equipment in the Plus locker rooms and must use the General locker rooms during prime-time hours (towel service is included). Children under 12 years are not allowed in program areas at the Eau Claire YMCA during prime-time hours: Monday-Friday 11:30 - 1:30 p.m., 4:30 -6:00 p.m. and Friday 11:30-1:30 p.m.
***If you are a Membership Plus adult member, you can choose to pay for either General or Membership Plus locker room access for the youth linked to your membership.
****Students between the ages of 18 and 22 must reside with a member who is their parent or legal guardian, be a full-time post-secondary student in Calgary and provide valid student photo ID and current timetable upon joining and renewing. |
